Greenhouse Vegetable Plug Seedling Technology

1 Determine the nursery time

The time for raising seedlings is determined according to the type of vegetables grown, the breeding environment, and the method of planting selected. Solanaceae vegetables are usually raised 60 to 70 days before planting; melon crops (such as watermelon, melon, cucumber, etc.) are raised about 25 to 30 days before planting.

2 The choice of seedbed

According to the type of vegetables grown (conventional solanaceous vegetables) and the length of seedlings, a size of 54cm28cm is generally used. The 72-hole plastic plug is used as a seedbed.

3 Preparation of nutritious soil

3.1 Matrix preparation

Nutrient soil is the basis for cultivating strong seedlings. Since the growth space of roots for plug seedlings differs greatly from the root environment and traditional seedlings, the nursery substrate suitable for the growth of plug roots should be rich in organic matter, loose in texture, strong in retention of fertilizer and moisture, and slightly acidic. Or neutral, the reasonable ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and basically eliminate the survival conditions of the pests. When growing seedlings, it is best to purchase finished nutritious soil directly (applicable to smaller scales), or configure it yourself. When selecting the soil, fertilize the field soil that has not been planted with the same kind of crops (eg eggplant, melons and cruciferous vegetables) for 5 consecutive years as the matrix, and select the sandy soil for the soil. In the configuration, organic fertilizer or chemical fertilizer can be properly added. The organic fertilizer must be thoroughly roasted and sifted, and evenly mixed; when adding fertilizer, 300-500 grams of urea, 2 to 3 kg of superphosphate, and 1 kg of diammonium phosphate can be added per cubic meter of nursery soil.

3.1.1 Matrix Disinfection

The main method of disinfecting drugs. In the case of a nutritious soil of its own configuration, it is first necessary to apply the agent evenly to the configured nutrient soil before loading, in order to prevent the spread of seeds and soil-borne diseases. The main method is as follows:

(1) Carbendazim disinfection: Spray with 50% carbendazim WP 500 times, spray evenly in the configured nutrient soil with a sprayer, then cover with a plastic film, after 2 to 3 days Kills many pathogens in the soil.

(2) Chlorothalonil disinfection: 600 times liquid Chlorothalonil sprayed, sprayed with plastic after 2 to 3 days, the best effect.

(3) Potassium permanganate disinfection: Potassium permanganate 0.01% solution was used for disinfection, and the plastic was covered for 2 to 3 days after treatment.

4 seed processing

According to the existing conditions, the two methods of soaking in warm water and dressing in medicine are mainly adopted.

4.1 Soaking in warm water

More often than not, "two open to one cool," that is, with two copies of boiled water for a cold water, the amount of water for the seed 4 to 5 times. Pre-soaking for 2 to 4 hours before soaking, then soaking at the prescribed time (5 to 30 minutes), cooling immediately after taking it out with cold water. When seeds (such as seedless watermelon, gourd, bitter gourd, etc.) are soaked, the seed shell is hard and hard to germinate. The seed must be treated before soaking so as to increase the germination rate and the uniformity of emergence.

4.2 Chemical dressing

Use 50% chlorothalonil or 50% carbendazim fungicide (0.1% ~ 0.5%) and fine sand dressing. After sowing can kill the germs around the seeds.

5 Seeding

The seedbed is soaked with water before sowing and sowing can be done on alternate days. The seeds are pressed in the trays mainly by artificial pressure sowing, and the depth is 2 to 2.5 times the diameter of the seeds, and then it can be covered with a substrate or vermiculite.

6.1 Seeding to emergence

After sowing, suitable high temperature and humidity are required. Therefore, in early spring and winter season, in order to ensure the seedling emergence rate and survival rate, a small arch shed can be set up after sowing, so that the seedbed is in the environment of the shed and the temperature in the shed is 25~ 30 degrees, relative humidity of 85% to 90% is appropriate. Generally about 10 days after sowing, seedling emergence, when 60 to 70% of the seedlings emerged, the awning shading net should be removed and a small arch shed side membrane should be set off. After the emergence of 3 to 6 days to pay attention to ventilation and temperature, the daytime shed should be maintained at 20 to 25 degrees, when the bed soil dry white, you can choose to properly water in the evening.

6.2 Water Management

According to the seedlings, the weather, and the bed and soil humidity, it is best to control it in sunny evenings or cloudy days. When the surface of the soil is dry and white, it is best to drench it thoroughly. Usually, the number of waterings should be reduced as much as possible in order to avoid seedlings being overgrown. If topdressing is required, the seedlings can be sprayed with 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate plus 0.2% urea solution.

6.3 Pest Control

There are mainly previous stages of damping-off, blight, late blight, gray mold, and wilt disease. We can use 1-2 types of pesticides such as mancozeb, carbendazim, metalaxyl, and streptomycin for agriculture. Rotation prevention and control; locusts can be used to control music, such as a net, etc., crickets can be used Uranus, Kete special control. If the humidity of seedbed is too high after application, it should be diluted with wood ash or fine dry soil.

6.4 prevent seedlings from being long

One of the main reasons for young seedlings is lack of light, and the second is excessive temperature. In addition, it is related to the high humidity of the seedbed and the high nitrogen fertilizer. In addition to increasing ventilation and enhancing light intensity, measures to prevent leggy should pay attention to the sowing density should not be too large, to increase phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, control the night temperature, timely seedlings and planting. If drug treatment is required, 50% of chlormequat 2000 to 2500 times can be used for inhibition. In addition, chlormequat can also increase seedling resistance. But note that the concentration must be appropriate, otherwise it will lead to poor or seedling aging phenomenon.

6.5 refining seedlings

One week before planting, the work of hardening seedlings must be done well. Requirement: In addition to sunny days shaded by shading nets, cover over small sheds in case of overcast or rainy weather; step by step from short to long, vents from few to large, step by step, until they are not covered Shade. 1 to 2 days before planting, it is necessary to pay attention to weather changes at any time. It is best to do it after the sun goes down on a sunny day or on a cloudy day. Avoid root damage when transplanting.
