The use of nipple drinker brooding (in the case of cage culture) has more advantages than the commonly used tower type vacuum brooder brooding, I think it is worth summarizing, as follows:
(a) drinking water. On the first day of brooding, chicks who cannot drink water in time will become weak chicks on the second day. The use of nipple drinker brooding should pay more attention to this in the early stage. The following measures can be taken to avoid shortage of water in chicks:
1. Fill the water cup underneath the nipple drinker with water (the water contains anti-stress and disease prevention drugs) before the chick arrives.
2. After the chicks are caged, allow the chicks to take a rest to adjust to the new environment, and then teach the chicks to drink. Each cage must teach 6-10. The method is to gently hold the chicks by hand so that they can lick in the cup.
3. After the first session of drinking water, you can spread the material in the cage on the pad (or in the feed tray) to “eatâ€. Feeding the chicks after opening the food should follow the principle of “little feeding and adding 80% fullâ€. Feeding.
4. After the start of eating 30--40 minutes, start the second time to teach the chicks to drink water.
