Mushroom characteristics and reproductive conditions

Tiger mushroom is a basidiomycete that produces large sclerotia in tropical and subtropical regions. China is distributed in Yunnan Province, Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Africa. After the mycelia of tiger milk mushroom dipped in wood or tree stump, the wood is rotted, and a sclerotia of 10-30 cm in diameter is formed between the underground or the wood or between the roots. Sclerotia are nutrient storage and dormant organs of tiger puffball mushroom, and also asexual reproductive organs. Putting the sclerotia in a warm and humid place will produce funnel-shaped fruit bodies one by one. The length of the fruiting period depends on the size of the sclerotia.

The sclerotium of Pleurotus eryngii contains glucose, fructose, galactose, mannose, maltose, inositol, palmitic acid, oleic acid, stearic acid, etc. It can treat stomachache, constipation, fever, colds, edema, chest pain, and nervous system diseases. Such as the efficacy, and can promote fetal development, improve the survival rate of premature infants. It has also been reported that the nuclear powder of tiger mushroom sphagnum can be used as medicine and external application of mastitis treatment for women is a promising food and medicine resource.

First, biological characteristics

(I) Morphological characteristics The fruiting bodies grow out of the underground sclerotia (Fig. 13-1). They are solitary or clustered; the diameter of the cap is 10-20 cm, funnel-shaped or cup-shaped, and they spread flat in the later stages but remain in the center; Cap surface smooth, often scattered, tilted small scales, pale gray to cinnamon, no stripes, the edge of the initial involute, thin, sometimes radial to serrated edge; bacteria meat tough, gradient leather texture; bacteria prolapse , Very dense, pale to light brown to pale yellow, with complete margins; central stalk, occasionally eccentric, cylindrical, meristem, same color as cap, 3.5-l3 cm long, 0.7-3.5 cm thick; spores printed white Spore columnar to elliptic to cylindrical, transparent, thin wall, with granular inclusions, 7.5-l0 micron x 2.5-4.2 micron; sclerotia born underground or between woods, 10-25 cm in diameter, globular, egg Shaped or fusiform, solid, internal white, husk brown or dark brown.

(b) Fertility conditions

1. Nutritional tiger milk mushroom is a typical wood rot fungus that can utilize many broad-leaved trees, conifers, and straw from various crops. The mycelia of Pleurotus ostreatus grew best on fructose-containing agar medium, followed by mannose and glucose again. In the oligosaccharide, only cellobiose and maltose were used, but the use of cellobiose was better than that of maltose. Dextrins, starches, celluloses, etc. may be used in polysaccharides, but grow better on dextrin-containing media. Tiger Mushrooms can use a variety of organic nitrogen, the use of inorganic nitrogen is poor.

2. Temperature Pleurotus mycelia can grow at 15-40°C, and 35°C is the most suitable.

3. Pleurotus ostreatus mycelium grows vigorously on wood or sawdust medium with 60% to 70% moisture content.

4. The pH of the mycelial growth of Pleurotus ostreatus was pH 6-7, with 6.5 being the most suitable.

5. The occurrence of light-emitting sub-entities requires bright light, and sclerotia can be formed in dark and bright places.
