Medicinal agent that can reduce “porcine drug residue”

The Institute of Animal Science and Technology in Taiwan has successfully developed a biocide that can improve the growth performance of pigs, enhance their immunity, and reduce the use of antibiotics, thus reducing pork drug residues. The Institute of Animal Science and Technology recently signed an agreement with BioTek Biotech Co., Ltd. The latter will conduct follow-up business such as the development of mass production, production and sales. According to reports, the cost of the biocide developed by the institute is only 1/10 of the current market price. Bacterial agent is a kind of microbiological preparation that can be directly added to feed. It contains one or more beneficial bacteria that can act on the gastrointestinal tract. It can inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, stimulate immune function, help digestion and reduce ammonia emissions. Experiments have shown that the germicide developed by the Animal Research Institute can improve the growth performance of piglets (15-30 kg) after weaning by 10%, produce organic acids, inhibit pathogenic bacteria, and effectively improve the health of pigs.
