Shanghai Feishu Interpretation of Comparison of Limits of Mycotoxins in Feeds at Home and Abroad

The previous issue of the test micro-information introduced the detection of mycotoxin detection correctly. After obtaining a representative test result, the relationship between the result and the relevant limit standard should be considered.

In this issue, we will interpret the limit standards for mycotoxins in feeds at home and abroad~

First, the limit standard of mycotoxins in Chinese feed
The Feed Hygiene Standard has only been updated two times so far. It was first promulgated by the State Bureau of Technical Supervision on July 16, 1991 and implemented on April 1, 1992. The current version is the second edition, issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in 2001. , GB13078-2001 and its No. 1 amendment, also includes four series of standards "feed sulphate standard feed nitrite allowance" (GB13078.1-2006), "feed hygiene standard feed ochratoxin A and corn Allowable amount of gibberellin" (13078.2-2006), "Allowable amount of deoxynivalenol in the compound feed" (GB13078.3-2007), "Allowable amount of T-2 toxin in compound feed" GB21693-2008).
The current Feed Hygiene Standard has been implemented for 13 years. With the development of the industry and the increase of new varieties, the revision of the Feed Hygiene Standard is also reasonable. Sha Yusheng, the chairman of the National Feed Industry Standardization Technical Committee, is in the process. In 2016, the feed industry technical exchange meeting explained in advance the revised contents of the new “Feed Hygiene Standard” to be issued in advance. The modified mycotoxin limit mainly includes the following aspects:

Second, the limit standard of mycotoxin in feed in the United States
Regarding the contamination of mycotoxins in feed, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) focuses on five mycotoxins: aflatoxin, fumonisin, vomiting toxin, zearalenone, and ochratoxin A. The FDA has established an implementation limit for aflatoxins in feeds (FDA, 1994), which provides guidelines for fumarate and vomiting toxins (FDA, 2001) and recommended tolerance limits (FDA, 2010). Currently, the FDA has not specified specific limits for feed for the other two toxins.
Third, the EU standard limit of mycotoxin in feed
The European Commission Directive 2002/32/EC specifies the maximum amount of aflatoxin B1 in feed, and vomiting toxin, zearalenone, ochratoxin in feed agricultural products and feeds is published in European Commission Recommendation 2006/576/EC. Guideline limits for A and fumonisins (Table 4) require enhanced information collection, research, and assay development for T-2 toxins and HT-2 toxins. This recommendation also requires EU member states to pay close attention to vomiting toxins in feed. Contamination of zearalenone, ochratoxin A, fumonisin, T-2 toxin and HT-2 toxin and monitoring (European commission, 2006).
Fourth, the limit standard of mycotoxins in Canadian feed

The RG-8 regulation issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) specifies the maximum allowable limit for aflatoxins in feeds and guidelines for recommended or tolerant limits for other mycotoxins (CFIA, 2000).
