Silky chicken colibacillosis

Etiology: E. coli disease is a common disease caused by pathogenic E. coli. It can happen all year round, and it often occurs in rainy, hot and humid seasons every year. Symptoms: There is no characteristic clinical manifestation of colibacillosis in black-bone chickens, but it is closely related to the age of onset of the chicken, the duration of the disease, the tissues and parts affected, and whether there are secondary or mixed infections. Newborn chicks are umbilicus, commonly known as the "bellied umbilicus," and a relatively large proportion of diseased chickens are associated with E. coli. The diseased young people are depressed, eat less or not eaten, have a large abdomen, and redness and edema of the umbilicus and its surrounding skin. Most of these diseases are dead or eliminated within a week. Another manifestation is diarrhea, with the exception of mental and poor appetite, it can be seen that soil-like excrement can be seen and the diseased brood dies within 1 day. There is no obvious peak in death. The appetite of the diseased chickens decreased, their spirits were depressed, their feathers were loose, and they were diarrhea. They also had symptoms of other diseases. The incidence of broiler chickens is roughly similar. The incidence of laying hens mainly shows that the egg production is not high, the peak of production does not go up, the peak time of egg production is short, and the chicken's mortality rate increases. The clinical performance of diseased chickens has atrophy of the cocks, diarrhea, loss of appetite and so on. Prevention: In view of the occurrence of this disease is related to a variety of external stress factors, prevention of the disease is first of all to strengthen the feeding and management of chickens, and gradually improve the ventilation conditions of the chicken house, earnestly implement the veterinary health and epidemic prevention measures. Chickens can be treated with drugs after the onset. In recent years, it has been found in the prevention and treatment of this disease that E. coli is highly susceptible to drug resistance. Antibiotics such as penicillin, streptomycin, oxytetracycline, and tetracycline have little therapeutic effect. Chloramphenicol, gentamicin, norfloxacin, and neomycin have a good therapeutic effect.
