High-yielding Cultivation Technique of Garlic Garlic Yellow

Garlic is a garlic softening cultivation product. Garlic yellow is cultivated, the production cycle is short, and the economic benefits are high. It is possible to use slaughter seasons for production. It is a rich project that develops courtyard economy and increases income. Generally, it can produce one pile per month, producing more than 15 kilograms of garlic yellow per square meter. A 50-square-meter or so ground kilns can produce 6 kilograms, achieving a net income of more than 3,000 yuan. The main points of its production technology are described below.

I. Variety selection

Choose Shandong Cangshan Garlic. This is an excellent local breed. Garlic hypertrophy, transverse diameter of about 5 to 6 cm, skin white, usually 7 to 8 petals per head, weight about 45 grams. Clove hypertrophy, skin slightly purple, germination fast. Golden tip, good quality, high yield.

Second, digging a warm kiln

Garlic yellow has a short growing period and a wide range of temperature adaptation. It can grow at 12-30°C. Therefore, the use of winter and spring production, the site should choose to leeward sunny, high-desert plots of land, in order to help improve the temperature of the warm kiln, reduce frost damage, and when the outside temperature increases, but also a good air release cooling.

Low outside temperature in winter or early spring, the use of a warm kiln to produce pollution-free garlic yellow is an ideal cultivation method, with advantages of small investment, simple kiln construction, and easy production and operation. Digging warm kiln, the general height of 2 to 2.5 meters, into the soil depth of 1.5 meters, exposed ground height of 1 meter, kiln length of 7 meters, kiln width of 7 meters (cultivation area controlled at 50 square meters). In the above, it is supported by a wooden frame or bamboo raft (which must be firmly fixed and covered with soil), and then covered with corn straw, rice straw, wheat straw or ragweed. The top of the earth is covered with a thickness of about 40 centimeters. There is an air release window at each of the four corners. Dig the entrance, the width of 40 to 50 cm, both sides with a good barrier. The cultivated bed soil is preferably made of organic-rich loam and the soil thickness is 10 to 12 cm. The surface of the cultivation pond should be flat, sand or sandy loam soil about 6 centimeters, after the planting garlic.

Third, sowing points

Garlic bulbs have a certain period of dormancy. In order to break the dormancy and promote germination, it must be treated before sowing. The method is to remove the bulb skin, the base stem plate, and some or all of the garlic peels, so as to facilitate moisture absorption and gas exchange.

Sowing in mid-November, low temperatures of 0-4°C should be performed before sowing. The low temperature treatment of the kind of garlic can emerge in advance. In addition, soaking in fresh water before sowing, so that the kind of garlic fully absorb water and accelerate germination. In order to increase the yield per unit area, close planting should be adopted as far as possible. At the time of planting, the garlic is planted closely one after the other in the cultivator, leaving as little space as possible between the garlic cloves. Generally about 20 kg of garlic per square meter. Immediately after sowing, cover 3 to 4 cm thick clay, pour water once, and cover the shade cover.

Fourth, face management

Garlic yellow mainly uses the nutrients stored in garlic bulbs to form fresh leaves for consumption. The key to management is timely and proper watering, control of soil moisture and promotion of rapid leaf growth. Slow growth of dry leaves in the soil affects product quality and yield. However, under confined conditions, such as air and soil moisture, it is often prone to decay. Therefore, as much as possible to reduce watering, usually after planting a permeable water, maintain a high humidity, to ensure the rapid emergence of garlic seed. Later, according to the outside temperature, soil moisture, garlic yellow growth, flexible watering, can not make the high temperature in the warm kiln. Spray water once every 1-2 days, spray once a week 0.1% potassium dihydrogen phosphate or 4% urea water. In the early stage of growth, the amount of water sprayed is small, and it gradually increases in the later period. Before the harvest, a small amount of water is poured once again to ensure that the yield and quality of garlic yellow, but also to lay the foundation for continued growth after harvest. After entering the winter season, the outside temperature is significantly reduced. In the kiln, a stove (which can be made in a small earthen furnace) is used to raise the temperature to maintain normal growth. When the daytime temperature exceeds 20°C, the temperature must be lowered to prevent the temperature from becoming long. .

Fifth, timely harvest

Garlic can be harvested when it reaches a height of 35 to 45 cm. In general, garlic yellow takes 25 days from planting to cutting the head knife, and takes the second knife in about 20 days. Harvest it when it is harvested. Do not root it up. Harvested Garlic Garlic should be bundled and sun-dried, so that the garlic leaves can be marketed when they turn from white to golden yellow. Generally 1 kg garlic can produce garlic yellow 1.2 to 1.5 kg garlic yellow. In order to seize the two consumer markets of New Year's Day and the Spring Festival and sell a good price, it is necessary to determine the seeding period flexibly according to the harvest period so as to maximize the economic benefits.
