Continue to rotate the flywheel. When the dial indicator returns to “0†position, the exhaust valve is closed. At this time, the angle value of the pointer of the angle meter is the exhaust valve opening continuation angle. The same method can be used to check the opening and closing time of the intake valve and the opening continuation angle. 2. The phase of the valve phase adjustment is not accurate. The valve clearance can be properly changed in the valve standard gap to compensate for the valve phase, so that the engine's power and economy can be improved. For some engines, because the valve clearance is too large, the valve phase is reduced. If the valve clearance is adjusted to the standard value, the valve timing can be generally restored. If the valve phase angle is reduced due to cam wear, it can only be resolved by replacing the valve mechanism with the camshaft and other related parts.
